Nessa’s knowledge bombs #6: sense check ideas with peers

I often talk to others about how to leverage their network. One of the ways I like to leverage my network is to use my peers as a sounding board and to build on ideas that are in my head.

I have a few peers with whom I have regular calls who give me some guidance and insight into some of the challenges they are facing and also what they are working on. It allows me to sense-check ideas and observations. But what I love about these calls is they often feel very collaborative, with each of us building on each other’ ideas. It creates a safe space to challenge each other. In a recent session I had with a peer, they challenged me to see if there was a way to validate my idea sooner. I came out of that session with a new sense of excitement.
